Accounting Professional – APAC & Global – Christchurch, New Zealand Responsibilities In this dynamic accounting team, you will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency for both global and local operations. Your responsibilities include: Monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, including Lease Accounting for the Global Group and detailed entries for the NZ entity with full NZ results review. Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline financial operations. Researching and advising on technical accounting matters. Leading sections of annual financial audits for APAC and the US, working as part of the APAC and Global team to meet deliverables by required deadlines. Supporting team members and collaborating with senior leadership in APAC. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of accounting experience. A Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required, or in the process of finalising CAANZ membership. Strong attention to detail and ability to efficiently manage and interpret complex data. Experience interpreting and implementing financial reporting standards. Ability to work under pressure with multiple demands while meeting tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work seamlessly with colleagues in multiple jurisdictions. Experience with strong internal controls and implementation of system/process improvements. Proficiency with Excel for complex data analysis. Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP system is a plus. Knowledge of U.S. GAAP is a plus.
