Overview Chesters Plumbing and Bathroom Centre remains a privately owned New Zealand company with close to 50 years' experience in the New Zealand market. We have 24 branches and counting nationwide. Our growth has been the result of excellent plumbing supplies backed by our service and commitment to our large customer base of plumbers, gasfitters, builders, homemakers, and renovators. Chesters Plumbing and Bathroom are looking for a Trade Sales team member for our Hamilton Branch. This is a role for a people person who is customer focused. You will be assisting our valued plumbers and builders identify, source, and locate our extensive range of Plumbing and Bathroom product. You may have previous plumbing and bathroom knowledge or professional experience or you may have trade retail experience in a similar industry. You may be a plumber who enjoys the customer facing aspect of your current role. In this key customer management role, you will need to have excellent communication skills and a friendly, open, and approachable manner. You will need to liaise with our internal sales teams too to provide technical information, and solutions for our customers. You will need to be comfortable working with software programs so that you can identify and price our product correctly. To work with the team at Chesters and our customers, you will need to have a great sense of humour and have an attitude to deliver results. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the running of a busy plumbing merchant so you will need to have a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to learn. Industry experience is preferred but full training provided for the right person. Responsibilities Assist plumbers and builders identify, source, and locate our extensive range of Plumbing and Bathroom products. Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and via internal teams. Liaise with internal sales teams to provide technical information and solutions for customers. Use software programs to identify and price products accurately. Maintain a friendly, open, and proactive approach to customer management and problem solving. Learn about all aspects of running a busy plumbing merchant and contribute positively to the team. Qualifications Experience in plumbing, bathroom trade, or trade retail is preferred; training provided for the right person. Excellent communication skills and a can-do attitude. Enjoy working with customers and building relationships with plumbers and builders. Comfortable using software tools to identify and price products. A sense of humor and willingness to learn.
