Role Overview QT Queenstown sits at the heart of the resort town, offering striking design, destination dining and a front-row seat to some of the best scenery in the country. The Groups Reservations Agent ensures all reservations are processed accurately and efficiently, with a strong focus on group bookings and exceptional guest service. This role supports revenue growth through upselling and seamless coordination across departments. Key Responsibilities Manage reservations for individuals and groups via phone, email, and GDS, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Coordinate group bookings, including quotations, contracts, rooming lists, and operational handovers. Maintain reservation systems (Opera PMS) with accurate data for rates, packages, and guest details. Monitor deposits and prepayments, following up to minimize risk and ensure timely payments. Upsell room types and packages to maximize revenue opportunities. Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure smooth guest experiences and resolve any issues promptly. What We're Looking For Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role with hotels or tourism industry. (Essential) Experience with hotel PMS systems in reservations or front office (Opera preferred) and strong computer skills. (Essential) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to upsell. (Essential) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate processing. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in reservations or telephone sales with a customer service focus. Analytical and financial aptitude for accurate quoting and reporting.
