About the Role Step into a specialist hand therapy role where your expertise supports recovery, function, and independence. Working within a well-established service, you will manage a varied upper limb caseload including surgical, traumatic, and non-surgical conditions across both ACC and non-ACC patients. This role offers the opportunity to deepen clinical capability while contributing to a high-performing team that values precision, collaboration, and continuous development. About the Team/Service/Location The Hand Therapy Team at Tauranga Hospital is a close knit and amazing group of fully registered Hand Therapists who provide specialist upper limb care across the region. The service accepts referrals from hospital and community providers including Allied Health, GPs, and Rheumatology services, delivering care at no cost to patients. The team places strong emphasis on professional development, mentoring, and ongoing training, creating a supportive environment for growth. Based primarily at Tauranga Hospital, there may be opportunities to work across satellite locations, offering variety within a connected service. You will be a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with experience as a registered Hand Therapist. You bring excellent clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, whānau, and multidisciplinary teams. You are motivated to grow your expertise and contribute positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
