The Opportunity Reporting to the Business Partner – Commercial, you'll work closely with our Commercial Finance team to support revenue reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business performance across multiple revenue streams including: Digital advertising rova and third-party digital platforms You’ll become a trusted finance partner to our Commercial teams, providing meaningful insights that help leaders make informed business decisions. This role offers fantastic exposure across the business and is ideal for someone wanting to develop into a Commercial Finance or Finance Business Partner career. What you'll be doing Preparing weekly and monthly commercial reporting Supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles Monitoring financial performance against budgets Identifying risks and opportunities across the business Assisting with financial modelling and business cases Supporting month-end processes, journals and reconciliations Reviewing payroll and operational costs Analyzing revenue, margins and commercial performance Partnering with Sales leaders across New Zealand to provide financial support and insights Producing variance analysis and recommendations for stakeholders About You You’ll be someone who enjoys learning, asks great questions and loves understanding how businesses work. We're looking for someone with: A tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting 1–3 years' experience in a finance or analyst role Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities Excellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business High attention to detail and strong organisational skills A proactive mindset and genuine curiosity to improve processes It would be a bonus if you also have: Experience using NetSuite or another ERP system Tableau or reporting tool experience Revenue accounting experience You're studying towards (or planning to begin) your CA or CPA qualification Why You’ll Love Working at MediaWorks At MediaWorks, we’re passionate about creating content and ideas that audiences love and clients value.
