About the Role This is a permanent 0.7 FTE designated SeniorNursing role, based in Nelson Hospital, you will work collaboratively alongsidethe wider nurse educator team, and will be an effectivemember of the nursing and MDT teams strengthen our model of care. As a Nurse Educator it is your role to coach and educate staff to theirbest potential resulting in improved experiences and outcomes for our health consumers. You will workalongside the nursing teams leading and embedding evidence-based practice,developing education strategies, involving staff in identifying areas fordevelopment, and developing objectives and plans to help staff apply learningsto practice. A large component of this role will be ensuring that clinical qualitysystems are in place within and across our nursing services to enhance caredelivery. About the Team/Location The surgical services team spans two wards andprovides care across multiple surgical specialties. The team are an enthusiastic and highlyprofessional team, committed to delivering patient and whanau centred care, whilefostering a collaborative, supportive and high quality clinical environment. About you You will be a positive, motivated and experienced senior registerednurse with broad surgical nursing experience and extensive experience working acrossthe health care setting. You will haveproven teaching ability, in both formal and informal settings, and will havecompleted a clinical Masters, or equivalent, or will be committed to completing. Additionally, you will be a key contributor to: Supportingprofessional development and growing the nursing workforce. Ensuring that clinical quality systems are in place within and acrosssurgical services to enhance care delivery. Improving outcomes and experiences for patients andwhānau by ensuring a responsive, compassionate, and safe experience. Prioritizing equity, critical thinking and escalationpathways.
