Job Description
Department of Conservation on Rakiura Stewart Island seeks a Research Assistant for a hands-on conservation role during the upcoming breeding season. You will conduct research on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel, performing field surveys, nest monitoring, and data management in remote locations. The role is full-time, fixed-term from 21 September 2026 to 15 January 2027, based on Rakiura with in-field huts and campsites, following a 10-days-on 4-days-off roster; #J-18808-Ljbffr
