Lecturer / Senior Lecturer (Sport Leadership and Management) - School of Sport, Exercise & Health (perm, 1.0FTE) Provide academic expertise in sport leadership and sport management, contributing to high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision. Actively publish and contribute to innovative, collaborative research broadly aligned with the School of Sport, Exercise and Health. Lead curriculum and course development. Primarily based at AUT’s Akoranga Campus, with teaching and engagement across the University’s other campuses as required. You will teach across programmes as assigned by the Head of School and be comfortable using digital resources to enhance learning. You will publish actively in your specialised field(s). You will work closely with students, collaborate across disciplines, and contribute to projects with industry, community and academic partners. Experience contributing to Indigenous, equity or inclusion-focused initiatives is highly valued. The selection criteria sought are: Qualification: A PhD relevant to sport leadership (or a related field) Research: An early career academic will have the basis of a solid research pipeline and a job market paper available. More experienced candidates will already have a more established research programme and a proven research track record with quality publications and ideally also success in external funding bids. Evidence of proactively pursuing external research income is desirable. (Lecturers) Evidence of securing or contributing to external research income is desirable. (Senior Lecturers) Teaching: An early career academic will ideally have at least some previous teaching assistant experience. More experienced candidates will have previous lecturing experience, evidence of curriculum development and preferably experience supervising Masters and/or PhD students.
