Café & Catering Assistant Thrive Café | Christchurch City Mission is looking for a warm, reliable and customer‑focused Café & Catering Assistant to join our Thrive Café team. About the Role Prepare and serve quality food and beverages Deliver excellent customer service to café and catering customers Undertake barista duties Assist with catering preparation, set up and pack down Deliver catering orders across Christchurch Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and presentation Assist with stock management and general café operations About You Has barista and/or hospitality experience Holds a full New Zealand driver’s licence Enjoys working with people from all walks of life Has excellent communication and customer service skills Is reliable, organised and able to work independently Can work effectively as part of a supportive team Shares our commitment to dignity, respect and inclusion What We Offer A supportive and values‑driven workplace The opportunity to contribute to meaningful social impact in our community Ongoing training and development opportunities $28.95 per hour, increasing to $29.90 per hour from 1 September 15 hours per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:30 am to 3:00 pm (includes a 30‑minute unpaid meal break) At the Christchurch City Mission, we support an environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves.
