About your team / Ko te tīma HR operations (HR Advice and Recruitment) internal health, safety and wellbeing organisational development/ learning & development We provide support and advice across the full employee lifecycle, and the provision of strategic and tactical advice related to employment relations, safety, health and wellbeing, recruitment including offboarding and onboarding, organisation development including learning and development, performance and culture. About the role / Ō te tūranga Join our People and Capability team and play a key role in supporting leaders to bring out the best in their people. As an Advisor, you'll be a trusted go‑to for practical, solutions‑focused HR advice, partnering with leaders and kaimahi across a wide range of people matters. From day‑to‑day support through to contributing to organisation‑wide initiatives, no two days are the same. You'll help drive great people outcomes by delivering high‑quality HR guidance, supporting capability uplift, and contributing to initiatives that strengthen engagement, performance, and wellbeing across the organisation. What You’ll Do/ Ko tōu ake mahi Provide trusted, practical HR advice to leaders, helping them confidently navigate people matters Support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and performance to engagement, reward and development Deliver responsive, high‑quality service by handling employee queries with professionalism and care Partner with leaders to build capability and confidently manage employee relations and workplace challenges Ensure HR processes are followed and aligned with policy, keeping things consistent, fair and compliant Contribute to People and Capability initiatives, policies and continuous improvement activities Use sound judgement to solve issues and collaborate with the wider team on more complex matters What You’ll Bring / Ko ngā pukenga ōu Proven HR generalist experience, with confidence supporting leaders across a wide range of people matters Strong knowledge of HR best practice and solid understanding of NewZealand employment law The ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders with credible, practical advice Excellent communication skills – clear, professional and adaptable across written and verbal channels Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills, able to manage competing demands and meet deadlines Sound judgement and a proactive approach to problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment Experience working with HR systems, along with a relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience. Salary range / Awhe utu As part of our remuneration framework the expected appointment base salary is $83,137–$91,571 (KiwiSaver/SSRSS employer contributions are additional). From 1April2026 our KiwiSaver employer contribution increased to 3.5%.
