Mō te tūranga mahi | About the role Join our team as a Trainer and ensure all our Voting Place kaimahi receive comprehensive training aligned with national requirements. Your role includes collaborating with managers to plan and execute training programmes, preparing training areas, delivering prescribed training and providing constructive feedback. These casual roles are paid at $34.56 per hour (including 8% holiday pay) and commence with training in mid‑September. Mō ake | About you To be successful in this role you will preferably be an experienced trainer or facilitator, with excellent planning, communication and people skills. You should be able to work effectively in complex environments, manage multiple priorities, and engage with people from all walks of life. What you’ll be doing Collaborate with the Recruitment and Rostering Manager and Electorate Manager to facilitate training for our Voting Place kaimahi. Prepare and set up training areas according to the Electorate Manager’s guidelines. Attend training sessions to familiarize yourself with training materials and delivery requirements. Complete necessary training and e‑learning modules. Conduct evaluations of participants, providing constructive feedback to the Recruitment and Rostering Manager. Deliver nationally prescribed training to voting place staff within the time allocated, ensuring successful outcomes. Work remotely or from one of our Electorate Headquarters, and be available outside of regular business hours, including weekends. Travel as required and hold a valid driver’s licence. What you’ll need to succeed The ability to present using a variety of formats, particularly PowerPoint. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a strong command of te reo Māori pronunciation. Experience delivering training using nationally prescribed strategies and materials. Proven ability to train a diverse and culturally inclusive audience. Strong interpersonal skills that build effective relationships. Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness and the ability to handle sensitive information. Action‑oriented with a drive for results, taking initiative to achieve goals. Methodical and disciplined approach to training delivery within set timelines. Access to reliable transportation. You must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand. #J-18808-Ljbffr
