About the Role Based in our Histology Dissection Team at MtWellington, this is a great opportunity for a Pathologist Assistant or experienced MedicalLaboratory Scientist to join our proficient Scientific and Technical team. Responsibilities Advanced tissue dissection skillset along with theoretical and practical knowledge of human anatomy and pathology. Work closely with consultant pathologists. Familiarity with Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) dissection protocols. About the Team/Service/Location Anatomic Pathology Service (APS) is an IANZ accredited medical laboratory and part of TeWhatuOra|HealthNewZealand and TeTokaTumai Auckland. We provide a wide range of anatomical pathology specialist diagnostic histology and cytology services to the Auckland region and beyond by processing specimens from over 4000 private specialists, surgical hospitals and general practitioners. Our Consultant Pathologists collaborate closely with our experienced team of pathologist assistants, scientists and technicians to deliver high‑quality and timely results for the patients and clinicians. You will join a team of 100 highly skilled professionals who are dedicated to excellence, innovation and patient‑centred care. About you Be currently registered as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician with the Medical Sciences Council of NewZealand (www.mscouncil.org.nz) or be eligible to do so at point of application. Have experience in dissection/cut‑up (Essential). Certified competency in advanced tissue dissection (Desirable). Be committed to quality, accuracy and patient outcomes. Have strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team‑focused approach.
