Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Registered Nurse Emergency Department New Plymouth Hospital, Permanent. Do you want to join a dynamic, innovative team in the emergency department at Taranaki Base hospital? We have permanent positions available as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency department, working across Monday to Sunday. You will join a highly skilled, supportive team who manage the unique variety of emergency situations presenting at our provincial hospital. This is an exciting environment in which to develop excellence in emergency nursing assessment and planning skills, with support of the emergency department staff. Our nursing team consists of nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, an emergency department educator, and a clinical coach. In addition to the nursing support, we work closely alongside a team of senior and junior medical staff. Discounts with local business. Free flu vaccinations. Qualifications and Preferences Strong focus on patient assessment. Experience in fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment (preferred). Preferably a current New Zealand Aotearoa nursing practising certificate (APC). Desire to make a difference in the community. A commitment to ongoing education to support excellence in emergency nursing. Would be available to work across Monday to Sunday.
