PB4L Schoolwide Practitioner

Position School Wide Practitioner (Full time, Permanent) – Regional office in Porirua, with flexibility across Greater Wellington. Key Responsibilities Train and support educators to implement the Positive Behaviour for Learning: School-Wide framework. Ensure fidelity to international best practice and consistent national implementation. Provide high‑quality special education services to learners, parents, families/whānau, caregivers, and other service users per Te Whaariki, Ka Hikitia, and the New Zealand Curriculum Framework. Collaborate with education sector, schools and early learning services to deliver support, expertise and resources. Use data and insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and advise organisations accordingly. Work as part of an integrated team, cooperating to solve problems, complete tasks and meet objectives. Qualifications and Experience Experience building relationships and partnerships to achieve shared outcomes. A tertiary qualification in education, psychology, or a relevant discipline (e.g., Special Education). Knowledge of child development, learning and behaviour. Familiarity with assessment and intervention frameworks, inclusive and ecological approaches. Demonstrated successful experience in classroom or other settings, including with students with special needs. Effective teaching practices. Ability to use data and insights for decision‑making. Strong engagement and communication skills; written and verbal advice. Ability to apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Salary Salary range: $85,416- $100,866 per annum plus KiwiSaver.
