The Department of Conservation – Te Papa Atawhai is seeking a Research Assistant for a hands-on conservation role on Rakiura Stewart Island. You’ll carry out field research on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel during the upcoming breeding season. This full-time fixed-term position runs 21 September 2026 to 15 January 2027, with a 10-on/4-off roster.
