Role Details Kaikōura Health Te Ha O Te Ora is looking for Registered Nurses to join their wonderful rural team. We have two positions available: Role1 – Casual contract : 0.9FTE, requiring availability across all shifts, including nights and weekends. Role2 – Fixed‑term contract : 0.9FTE covering parental leave from 05/10/2026 to 04/10/2027, rostered Monday–Sunday, morning, afternoon, and nights. Responsibilities Support and manage patient health and wellbeing in both long‑term care and medical acute areas. Provide acute and emergency care. Deliver palliative care. Assist with respite care. Perform day procedures, including infusions. Support the independent midwife in the birthing unit. Provide care for residents in the rest home. Qualifications Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing Council of NewZealand, APC and no restrictions. NewZealand health care experience essential. Rural generalist nursing experience an advantage. Knowledge of TeReoMāori, TikangaMāori, TeAoMāori desirable.
