Job Description The successful Labourer plays a crucial role in supporting various construction and labour activities across multiple sites in South Westland. This position requires a proactive individual who can work effectively as part of a team while also being capable of carrying out tasks independently. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Key responsibilities include: Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks, including but not limited to civil construction and maintenance work of our roading network. Loading and unloading materials and equipment from vehicles. Maintaining cleanliness and organisation on job sites to promote a safe working environment. Operating basic hand tools and power tools under supervision. Following instructions from supervisors regarding daily tasks and project requirements. Always adhering to health and safety regulations to minimise risks on site. Assisting with the transportation of materials between locations as needed. Desired Skills and Experience The ideal candidate should demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow directions accurately. A commitment to teamwork and communication is essential for success in this role. You should also: Have a proven track record in civil work or willingness to learn Hold a current full Driver's Licence: preferably hold and maintain a Class 2 licence, higher licence classes and endorsements would be advantageous To apply for this vacancy, you MUST be eligible to work in New Zealand.
