About the Role Opportunity to join the Hospital Operations Directorate as a Health Intelligence Analyst, supporting operational, clinical and executive leaders through high‑quality analytics and data‑driven insights. You will transform complex operational data into actionable intelligence that supports decision‑making, service improvement, patient flow, performance monitoring and equitable health outcomes. The role includes forecasting, predictive analytics, business case development, service evaluation and performance reporting across Hospital Operations. Key Responsibilities Delivering operational intelligence and decision support Developing forecasting and predictive analytics models Supporting performance monitoring and service evaluation Translating complex data into meaningful recommendations Building trusted relationships with operational, clinical and executive stakeholders Contributing to continuous improvement and organisational change initiatives Qualifications Current legal rights to live and work in New Zealand. Relevant tertiary qualification in Statistics, Data Science, Health Informatics, Health Sciences, Public Health, Economics or a related discipline. Minimum five years' experience in analytics, intelligence, healthcare analytics or a similar field. Advanced SQL capability, including data modelling and complex query development. Experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools. Proven ability to translate complex business problems into analytical solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Experience presenting analytical findings to senior leaders. Experience in healthcare operations Forecasting and predictive modelling experience Experience with Python, R or similar analytical programming languages Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, equity and population health approaches About the Team/Service The Hospital Operations Directorate plays a critical role in ensuring Te Toka Tumai Auckland operates safely, efficiently and effectively while supporting the delivery of high‑quality patient care.
