Job Description

The Student Hubs team acts as the physical gateway to Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, offering a welcoming and mana‑enhancing service for current and future students throughout their journey. We are guided by values that reflect our commitment to collaboration, leadership, learning and community: Mana Enhancing: Uplifting interaction Service Excellence: Professional, accurate and responsive Manaakitanga: Listen, respect, understand and care Whanaungatanga: Connect, partner and strengthen relationships Kaitiakitanga: Guide, support and see things through Our services support students holistically, including: Guidance and advice on being a student Navigation of University systems, spaces and processes Exploration of study options Application and enrolment support Library and Student IT services We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Student Hub Assistants team who: Are collaborative team players who build positive relationships and contribute to a supportive team environment Take a proactive approach and work effectively both independently and with others Demonstrate reliability and a strong, positive work ethic aligned with our values Show empathy and genuine care in supporting tauira (students) and colleagues Thrive in fast‑paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing needs Bring a positive, energetic approach to engaging with tauira in a high‑volume, complex work setting Work Monday‑Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (37.5 hours) The role is permanent. Salary is $55,600 – $57,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
