Job Description

Hato Hone St John has been serving New Zealanders since 1885. Today, we havenearly 12,000kaimahiworking across Aotearoa to enhance the health and wellbeing of our communities. From responding to 111 calls to supporting people to stay healthy through health education,accessand monitoring, we make a life-changing difference every day. We have a permanent Paramedic position available, working a DDNN 42 hour roster at Taumarunui Station station. We are looking for an experienced paramedic who is adaptable and can settle into our team with ease, work alongside both paid and volunteer staff, and provide a high level of care to our patients. The ideal applicant would have a positive demeanour, willingness to contribute to station portfolios, and champion clinical excellence. This station has been identified as a low Unit Hour Utilisation (UHU) station. To support organisational goals and funder expectations, particularly in increasing the "Hear and Advise" rates, this role is expected to undertake Remote Triage duties. Qualifications Ko wai koe - About you: To be successful in this role, you will have: A current St John Authority to Practice at Paramedic level Current Registration and Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) from Te Kaunihera Manapou Paramedic Council Excellent operational and clinical performance to date Excellent driving record Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others The ability to work under pressure Evidence of CCE Demonstrated behaviours that align with Hato Hone St John's core values - Do the right thing (Mahi Tika), Side by Side (Tū Tahi), Straight Up (Mahi Pono), Make it better (Whakapai Ake), Open Minds (Whakaaro Nui) Additional Information All appointments are subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks including, but not limited to, physical assessment, psychometric assessment, police vetting, health check, and reference checks.
