Job Description
Two old dogs near city centre, greenbelt out the back gate Dates & location date_range 9 Sep 2026 - 19 Sep 2026 (1 week 3 nights) House details Our home is an old character house, part of it dating back to 1870s. It's all a bit dated, and due to its age it can be cold but we have a large log burner to keep you toasty and warm, plus heaters for the bedrooms. We have off street parking for one car, and friendly neighbours who look out for each other. Location & nearby amenities We back on to the green belt and Prince of Wales park, so you can just step out the back gate to go for a dog walk. We are about 15 mins from Cuba Street with restaurants, cafes, cinema and shops at your fingertips. Woolworths supermarket is also only 10 minutes walk away. About the dogs We have two friendly older dogs: Frieda, an 11‑year‑old Schnoodle who loves cuddles and a lap, and Kowhai, a 13‑year‑old sweet‑natured retired farm dog. Kowhai is blind in one eye, fairly deaf and cannot climb steep hills, so walking requirements are not excessive. They enjoy a morning and evening 20‑30 minute walk. Medication & treatment required Kowhai requires an eye‑drop to be applied daily, which he is OK with, and medication with his food. Local florist / garden care No About us Owner: Jenny We are a semi‑retired couple, kept seriously busy with grandchildren in Wellington, but try to squeeze in the occasional tramping trip. Smoking policy Outside only Additional information House sitting is a fun, immersive way to experience this magnificent country – without paying a cent for accommodation! Responsibilities Administer daily eye drops to Kowhai. Administer medication in Kowhai’s food. Walk both dogs for approximately 20‑30 minutes each morning and evening. Maintain warmth in the house using log burner and heaters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
