Casual Administrator - ED & Birthing Suite Locations: Wellington Regional Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital Contract: Casual (Covering rostered shifts 24/7) About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic multi-skilled administrator to join our vibrant team at Wellington Hospital. This is a casual position covering full time rostered and rotating positions for two 24/7 services, as well as covering the part-time shifts based at Kenepuru Maternity Unit. Duties : Meeting and greeting patients and visitors Demographic validation Registering all patients who present Admissions, discharges and transfers of patients Administration support for clinical staff The salary band for this role is $73,476 - $81,164 (pro rata for casual hours), depending on experience. About the Team We are a medium-sized team of administrators providing administration support to the clinicians working with the Emergency Department, Birthing Suite and Transit Lounge at Wellington Regional Hospital, and the Kenepuru Maternity Unit. The team works on a 12-line roster in ED and a 4-line roster in Birthing Suite covering 24 hours, seven days a week, as well as an additional two staff covering the Kenepuru Maternity Unit 20 hours per week Monday to Friday, and two staff covering the Transit Lounge 56 hours per week Monday to Sunday. About you As the successful candidate you will be a committed team player who is computer literate, a self-starter, has prioritizing skills, has previous data entry skills, can work under pressure, and is able to give attention to detail. Most importantly, you'll take a lead in customer relationship care, will have the ability to make people feel comfortable and at ease, will be well presented, keen to learn, reliable. This team and role are diverse, and you will be dealing with a range of different people, for which you will have excellent customer focus and empathy skills.
