The Account Manager supports the management and growth of key DIV 1000 accounts within the BIC New Zealand business. This role is responsible for executing account plans, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting sales performance through effective coordination, analysis, and internal business planning. Main Responsibilities / Tasks Portfolio Business Plan With the support of the Sales Manager, creating and administering the go-to-market strategy for the specified customer portfolio, and; With the support of the Sales Manager, develop and manage the customer’s full year Joint Business Plan. Account Support & Relationship Management Manage day-to-day relationships with assigned customers/accounts; Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure service levels and expectations are met, and; Identify and elevate customer issues or opportunities in a timely manner. Sales Execution Achieve delivery of sales targets (volume, net sales, profitability) within assigned accounts; Execute promotional and pricing strategies, in collaboration with Marketing and RGM teams; Track and analyze sales performance, trends and key KPIs; Maintain up to date sales forecasts and account records; Monitor physical availability, distribution and compliance with agreed plans, and; Coordinate new product launches within accounts. Category Review Process In collaboration with the Sales Manager, Category and Marketing teams; manage the customer’s category review process across product categories. Financial Management With the support of the Sales Manager, manage all commercial aspects with the customer. This includes management of a sales budget to meet value, volume and profitability expectations, while working within a defined trade spend. Trade Spend Investment With the support of the Sales Manager, optimize BIC’s return on investment while balancing shopper, customer and BIC’s objectives; Work with the Sales Manager to develop and execute the category’s promotional strategy; Track ROI and effectiveness of trade promotions, and; Ensure accurate promotional planning and reporting analysis. Internal Business Planning Manage the account’s 12-month forecast and continuously monitor and update the variances as part of the monthly S&OP reporting cycle to ensure the organisation meets its own and the customer’s service level KPI’s in an efficient manner. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Service teams Support demand planning and inventory availability for customers Ensure smooth order processing and issue resolution Qualifications Essential Tertiary qualifications, ideally in business; 1-3 years’ experience in sales or FMCG environment; Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and; Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Desirable Cross functional experience (indirect) mainly marketing & finance; Familiarity with sales data tools. BIC World is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
