Job Description What will your typical day look like: As a Manager within our Strategy and Business Design team you will work with a team of great Consultants, coached by Directors and Partners, working on some of our clients’ and country’s most complex and pressing issues. You will be working with senior client stakeholders to understand system and organisational challenges, translate strategic intent into practical delivery and support decision‑making in complex, and at times, regulated environments. Working collaboratively is a core value practiced every day. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day leadership of interesting engagements and providing our clients with the insights and solutions they need to improve performance, strengthen resilience and create sustainable outcomes. You will help clients take advantage of the many opportunities to be digitally enabled and impactful for New Zealand and on the world stage. As well as taking responsibility for projects and guiding more junior team members on the day‑to‑day delivery of outcomes for clients, you will also contribute by developing client relationships, creating and sharing eminence, identifying opportunities and supporting clients to progress additional priorities and initiatives. We are a fun, caring and inclusive team who value people’s individual aspirations and connection to our purpose - to make an impact that matters. You are someone with: 5-8 years’ experience in strategy development and delivery, strategic initiative execution or operating model design and implementation. Experience gained in consulting or professional services, or within an internal strategy, transformation, policy‑to‑delivery, or organisational performance function. Strong exposure to public sector contexts, such as central agencies, social sector, health, justice, education, infrastructure, local government, and regulatory environments. Well‑developed quantitative and analytical capability, able to identify root causes, develop practical options, and support decision‑making in ambiguous settings. The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely, adapting your style for senior stakeholders and diverse audiences. A collaborative approach, comfortable working across multi‑disciplinary teams and engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders and governance forums. A genuine interest in developing and mentoring others, with a commitment to building diverse, inclusive and high‑performing teams. Knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, and Te Ao Māori, with the ability to integrate these perspectives and approaches into relevant client engagements. Qualifications If you have what it takes as a consulting professional, leader and practice‑builder, we can promise opportunities to grow your career in a culture that develops, challenges, innovates and inspires. The breadth of our client base means you will gain exposure to a wide range of complex, meaningful challenges, with regular interaction with senior stakeholders and a broad spectrum of complex challenges. We are committed to learning and development, and Directors and Partners will support your development and provide coaching, guidance and direction. We will offer you training and career development that keeps our consulting team at the top of its game. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary, transportation allowance, healthcare, bonus and a range of Manager benefits that you would expect from one of the world's leading professional services brands.
