Receptionist – Wairoa Hospital Permanent / Full‑time, 80 hours per fortnight, 1FTE. About the Role As a Receptionist at Wairoa Hospital, you will be the welcoming face and first point of contact for patients, whānau, visitors, and staff. You will provide professional frontline reception and administrative support, ensuring people feel valued and supported from the moment they connect with our service. In this varied role, you will coordinate appointments and travel bookings, manage enquiries and phone calls, maintain patient records, support clinical teams, and assist with a wide range of administrative tasks. Working closely with hospital and health centre staff, you play an important part in helping deliver a seamless patient experience and supporting the day‑to‑day operations of healthcare services. About You Friendly, organised, and adaptable administrator who enjoys helping people and thrives in a busy customer‑facing environment. NCEA Level2 or equivalent qualification. At least 2years' administration experience. Proven customer service skills and excellent communication abilities. Strong computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and a positive, solution‑focused approach.
