Associate Clinical Nurse Manager - Max Fac, Ophthalmology, ENT, Dental & Paediatrics - Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital Permanent, Full Time, 80 Hours per fortnight (1 FTE) Rostered and rotating. About the Role As the Associate Clinical Nurse Manager for ENT, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Dental & Paediatric, you will provide clinical and operational leadership to support the delivery of safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care within our Operating Theatre service. Working in partnership with the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will coordinate day‑to‑day operations, support safe staffing and patient flow, and ensure patients receive timely, effective and compassionate care. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse leader to influence service delivery while remaining close to clinical practice. You will mentor and support nursing staff, contribute to quality improvement and workforce development initiatives, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve outstanding patient outcomes across a range of specialist surgical services. About the Team/Service/Location Our Operating Theatre team delivers specialist care across ENT, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Dental and Paediatric services, providing high‑quality surgical care for a diverse patient population. Working alongside skilled surgeons, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams, we are committed to delivering safe, coordinated and patient‑focused care. Based at Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, you will join a supportive and collaborative environment where clinical excellence, continuous improvement and staff development are highly valued. About you Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate (APC). Recent clinical experience within perioperative services, with expertise across one or more of ENT, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, Dental or Paediatric specialties. Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, support and develop nursing teams. Strong communication, relationship‑building and problem‑solving abilities, with experience working collaboratively in multidisciplinary environments.
