The successful candidate will be primarily based in Wellington. Occasional travel across the district, including to Hutt Valley, Kenepuru, and Kapiti sites, will be required to support operational and service delivery needs. This role operates Monday to Friday and offers a salary range of $75,000-$85,000, depending on experience. About the Team/Service/ Location Join a supportive and collaborative team based in Wellington Hospital that plays a vital role in delivering high-quality administration services to patients, clinicians and the wider district. You will build strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders while contributing to a service that helps ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care. About you We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is passionate about supporting patients and clinical teams. To be successful in this role, you will have: Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to providing professional and compassionate customer service to patients, whānau and colleagues. Confidence using Microsoft Office and a range of computer systems, with the ability to quickly learn new applications and accurately maintain patient information. A continuous improvement mindset, with the initiative to identify opportunities to improve processes, support change, and contribute to an efficient and effective Patient Administration Service. Previous administration or customer service experience, preferably within a healthcare or large service environment, is desirable, along with a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy and delivering high-quality outcomes.
