Working alongside Police, iwi and hapū, government agencies, community providers and people with lived experience, you will coordinate and enable a collective response to organised crime through community‑led prevention, social intervention and targeted enforcement activity. This unique role combines strategic planning, partnership building and practical delivery, ensuring local aspirations, tikanga Māori and community resilience are at the heart of the mahi. Key Accountabilities: Enable delivery of the ROCC work programme across Eastern District. Align targeted enforcement, social intervention and community resilience approaches. Build and maintain trusted relationships with iwi/hapū, agencies, providers and community leaders. Enable collective action that addresses the harms and drivers of organised crime. Provide strategic advice, insights and reporting to inform local and national priorities. Confident in preparing and delivering clear, strategic written and verbal briefings to senior leadership. Confident communicator who can translate community voice into action and build trust across diverse stakeholders. Project management and stakeholder coordination experience in a public sector or community context. For Police Employees: Agree to enrol in a leadership programme at the advertised level, at a future date or Have qualified under CEP or a previous Career Progression Framework at the level you are applying for. This role is based in the Hastings area. Regular travel will be required. A full driver’s licence is essential. This role is Individual Contributor/Emerging Leader level. The minimum criteria for this level of national security clearance is: NZ Citizen who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 10 years, or: A Permanent Resident who has resided continuously in NZ for the last 10 years, or A citizen of or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years : Australia, Canada, United Kingdom, or United States of America, and has a background that can be verified by the NZSIS.
