Job Title Registered Nurse, Surgical Orthopaedic Outpatient – Nelson Hospital Location Nelson Hospital, New Zealand Employment Details Permanent, 0.7 FTE (56 hours a fortnight). Working Monday to Friday between 08:00–18:00, including half‑day shifts. Overview We are recruiting a Registered Nurse to join our surgical outpatient team supporting primarily orthopaedic outpatient services and other surgical specialties including gynaecology, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, minor procedures and a readmissions clinic. Responsibilities Support Registered Nurses, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registrars and Senior Medical Officers in delivering high‑quality care to diverse patient groups. Manage assessments, time‑management tasks, and autonomous clinical practice while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications Clinically qualified Registered Nurse registered with NZNC and holding an active practising certificate. Experience in orthopaedic or outpatient surgical settings (preferred). Commitment to delivering quality service within a high‑performing team. Versatility, flexibility, and strong assessment and time‑management skills.
