Production Technician The primary responsibility of the Production Technician is to perform day‑to‑day operations in various areas within the manufacturing department, to ensure antigen and/or vaccine is produced to required standards to meet customer demand in global markets. The Production Technician sits within the Global Animal Health Manufacturing organization and reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities Manufacture antigen and/or vaccine to required standards, according to set production schedules. Operate equipment in accordance with SOPs. Perform tasks and processes in accordance with SOPs. Document all tasks in batch records, worksheets or logs in accordance with Good Documentation Practice (GDP). Maintain good housekeeping. Plan daily workload. Communicate clearly and in a timely way with other members of the Manufacturing Team and other departments to ensure the smooth flow of product, samples, and documentation. Perform on‑the‑job training for other technicians in areas of expertise. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Minimize deviations in the manufacture of products by ensuring all tasks are completed in accordance with SOPs, investigating and determining root causes of deviations, identifying Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA), completing deviation reports promptly, and implementing agreed CAPAs within required timeframes. Maintain all documentation in accordance with company and relevant quality standards; review and update documentation such as SOPs, batch records, worksheets to ensure GMP standards continue to be met; author or review assigned SOPs and documentation within required timeframes; and implement changes to production documents and processes in accordance with agreed change proposals. Qualifications Science degree or equivalent preferred. Experience in a manufacturing environment. Understanding of GMP. Computer skills: spreadsheets, word processing, SAP. Skills Analytical problem solving. Computer literacy. Data entry. Equipment maintenance. GMP documentation. Good manufacturing practices (GMP). Manufacturing documentation. Manufacturing operations.
