Data Center IT Technician, Data Centre Operations (AWS)

Job Overview Amazon Data Services New Zealand Limited is seeking skilled Server/Network Technicians to expand our data centers to the next level. The role involves installing and troubleshooting the IT infrastructure supporting the AWS cloud, working closely with engineering and logistics teams to maintain daily operations. The position includes shift work (4 days on/4 days off, including night shifts on a rotational basis) and requires the ability to lift and rack equipment. Key Responsibilities Install and configure racks of hosts in line with internal SLAs Diagnose and repair issues for server, storage, and network devices, including physical replacement of parts Remediate or recover from physical power issues on racks and participate in data center power & cooling events Perform shift work (4 days on, 4 days off, including night shifts on a rotational basis) Lift and rack equipment using company lifting equipment Maintain a valid driver’s license and use a personal vehicle to travel between sites Basic Qualifications 2+ years of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience 1+ year of computer networking experience High school or equivalent diploma Preferred Qualifications Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
