Whether you're balancing study, work, family, or other commitments throughout the week, we offer weekend-only opportunities designed to fit around your schedule. You’ll support tāngata with their individual care needs and daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, medication support, and welfare checks—no qualifications or prior experience required. Your role is to provide safe, respectful, person‑centred support in people's homes, being mindful of what matters most to them, including their culture, values, beliefs, routines, and boundaries. Comprehensive paid training to set you up for success Flexible hours throughout the weekends – we’ll do our best to align your schedule with the needs of the people we support Weekend shifts (+$1.00 extra per hour) Paid travel time and mileage – when you travel for work, we make sure you’re compensated fairly, including paid travel time and mileage for longer trips. Full details will be shared during onboarding. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience in the health and wellbeing sector while keeping your work‑life balance in check. Training Paid training! Our Kaiāwhina Skills Framework training takes place during your first two–four weeks of employment and includes: Support through structured induction, ongoing training, refreshers, and clear development pathways.
