Job Description
Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Supported First Year of Practice (SFYP) About the role Collaborate with the Southland and Otago based SFYP and Otago based NESP (New Entry to Specialty Practice) coordinators, working within the Health Workforce NZ Nursing programme. Ensure that the programme policies and specifications are applied and followed. Join a team of experienced and positive nurses Advance clinical knowledge in others Develop the practice of the next cohort of graduate nurses Supported by the Otago PDU Manager and collaborate closely with other team members Deliver quality and evidence‑based education and support to nurses joining our profession Ensure all relevant Managers (Nurse Directors, Charge Nurse Managers, and Community Nurse Managers) understand and apply these policies and specifications Create and maintain a wide range of networks through the Southern region Qualifications New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practising certificate Post‑graduate qualification in a relevant field Proven performance in adult teaching and learning principles Minimum proficiency in PDRP Excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel Able to build successful working relationships Salary & Benefits Salary Band: $114,000 – $121,000 p.a. prorata + KiwiSaver. This role falls between step 1 ($114,025 p.a.) and step 2 ($121,444 p.a. prorata) of the DSN scale grade 1. This position is a Permanent Vacancy.
