Respiratory Research Nurse This is a 0.7 FTE part time, fixed-term role for 2 years (20 hours per week). About the Role As a Respiratory Research Nurse, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality clinical research within our department. Youll be responsible for the day‑today implementation of study protocols, requiring a thorough understanding of each study and the ability to apply broad clinical and technical expertise. Working as part of a dedicated research team, you will uphold the highest standards of Good Clinical Practice to ensure participant safety and the collection of valid, reliable data. What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will act as a key resource for both clinical staff and study participants, providing clear information about trial procedures and supporting safe, ethical research conduct. Your responsibilities will include: Collecting blood samples and administering injections Initiating and monitoring nebuliser treatments Delivering safe, accurate infusion therapy Closely observing participants throughout study procedures to ensure comfort, safety, and protocol adherence Supporting the research team by maintaining documentation and contributing to high-quality data collection Who You Are Youre a clinically confident nurse with strong assessment skills, a keen eye for detail, and a genuine interest in research. You enjoy working collaboratively, communicating clearly, and supporting participants through their research journey. Experience in respiratory care or clinical trials is an advantage, but a passion for research and a commitment to excellence are just as important. Respiratory care experience is an advantage; 2 years clinical research experience is essential.
