Due to our expanding operations, our Underground division are looking for experienced Driller Assistants. If successful, flights to & from your closest international airport and any accommodation in Perth will be covered. We have 2:1 and 2:2 rosters on offer. What does a Driller Assistant do? Working under the direction of a Driller or Drilling Supervisor undertaking various labor duties Working safely and following EHS policies and procedures and conduct local risk control Loading and unloading of drilling equipment and materials. Assist in rigging up/down and moving to new drill locations. Handle rods and drilling tools, collect and handle samples, mix drilling fluids, carry out basic maintenance of tools and equipment, complete pre‑start checks, and refuel vehicles A few things we’re looking for: Previous experience working in a hands‑on, physically demanding role. Previous offsiding experience Resident of NZ (essential) Current Manual C Class Driver’s Licence NZ Police Clearance or Australian Federal Police Clearance (or ability to provide one) Ability to pass a comprehensive pre‑employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen Physical ability to lift 30kgs repetitively in a labour‑intensive role Right to work in Australia Demonstrated personal commitment to safety A commitment to being part of a respectful workplace and work as part of a team.
