Location: Porirua Contract: Permanent, Full-time Remuneration: REM - IEA $150.174 - $168,946 About the Role This management role partners alongside the Operations Manager, Acute Inpatient Services After Hours District Hospital Function, Group Manager and Clinical Director of the Mental Health and Addiction Service, and key external stakeholders to deliver care to tāngata whaiora and whānau who require intensive specialist mental health and addiction support 24/7. Responsibilities Partner with the Operations Manager, Acute Inpatient Services After Hours District Hospital Function, Group Manager and Clinical Director of the MHAIDS to deliver integrated care. Provide decision‑making authority in the Operations Centre to support and allocate casual staff effectively during after‑hours periods. Use data, predictive analytics and innovative problem‑solving to enhance the experience of tāngata whaiora from service entry to exit. Eskalate capacity and demand issues to senior management in an organised and coordinated manner. Collaborate with other functions and localities to address acute issues. Apply principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and commitment to equity in all operational decisions. Essential Qualifications Relevant tertiary level business qualification or equivalent in health leadership. Professional registration with current APC. Desired Qualifications Experience in implementing Te Tiriti o Waitangi in action. Strong stakeholder relationship management skills. Pro‑active management to achieve outcomes. Use of data for best practice outcomes. Ability to devolve decision making. Commitment to contribute at a strategic level and to promote research. Broad and lateral thinker who can articulate thinking well at all levels. Adept at working across established networks and structures. Emotionally resilient, flexible and adaptable. Ability to work well with complexity and ambiguity. Proactive and motivated; responds positively to new challenges. Skilled in time and organisational management. Works well under pressure and keeps a balanced perspective.
