Team Leader (Criminal)

Team Leader, High Court – Auckland (Permanent, Full‑time) We design better justice services and are looking for a full‑time team leader to support the efficient and effective operation of New Zealand's High Court. The role focuses on delivering timely justice services and managing a dedicated team that handles both criminal and civil cases. Responsibilities Lead and coach staff to high performance. Plan, allocate resources, and set day‑to‑day priorities. Manage staff and resources within the registry. Conduct performance appraisals and staff reviews. Provide and develop training. Collect statistics and present reports. Exercise statutory powers as required. Qualifications and Skills Demonstrated experience leading, managing and coaching staff for high performance. Customer‑focused service delivery. Knowledge of or strong interest in the Justice sector. Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent experience. Experience managing staff reviews and performance appraisals. Experience developing training programmes. Salary will be based on skills and experience, with the potential to pay higher within the band to attract strong candidates.
