The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship (BEntr) is an innovative multidisciplinary programme that develops entrepreneurial thinking through research-led teaching, applied learning, and engagement with industry and communities. Through a new partnership between the University of Otago and Queenstown Resort College (QRC), the BEntr will be delivered at QRC's Queenstown campus from 2027, providing students with the opportunity to complete a University of Otago qualification while continuing to live and study in Queenstown.
The Role | Te Mahi
The Otago Business School is seeking an outstanding Teaching Fellow (0.5 FTE) to support the delivery of the Bachelor of Entrepreneurship programme in Queenstown. Based at QRC, this role will be a key connection point between students, QRC, and the University of Otago, supporting student transition, engagement, progression, and overall success throughout their studies.
The successful candidate will provide academic and pastoral support to students, assist with programme coordination, facilitate tutorials and learning activities, and contribute to the development of a connected student culture across both institutions. While the role includes teaching and academic support responsibilities, the primary focus will be on creating an outstanding student experience and ensuring students are well supported throughout the programme.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of an innovative programme and play a key role in shaping the student experience within a new Queenstown-based delivery model. The successful candidate will work closely with academic and professional staff across the University of Otago and QRC and will report academically and operationally to the University of Otago.

The successful candidate will have:
Experience working within a tertiary education environment, ideally with an understanding of both university and tertiary college settings.
Experience supporting undergraduate students through teaching, tutoring, mentoring, advising, or learning support activities.
Understanding of academic programme delivery and student support requirements, including transition, engagement, retention, and learner success.
Knowledge of tertiary administrative processes, including enrolment, assessment, academic requirements, and student support pathways.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, academic staff, professional staff, and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently while maintaining strong connections with colleagues based in Dunedin.
A commitment to student wellbeing, inclusion, and creating a supportive learning environment.
It would be advantageous to have:
Experience working within Queenstown Resort College and/or University of Otago.
Experience supporting partnership, pathway, or collaborative tertiary programmes.
Experience in entrepreneurship education or familiarity with entrepreneurship programmes.
Understanding of the Queenstown business and community environment.
Experience supporting industry engagement activities, internships, or community partnerships.

This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), permanent position based in Tahuna, Queenstown at the Queenstown Resort College, working in partnership with the University of Otago.
