Job Description
Based in Lynfield, AsureQuality has the largest Food Testing Laboratory in the Southern Hemisphere. To keep our laboratory running smoothly we need a person to support Stores, Warehousing and Inventory within the business. This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday.
If you are organised, detail-oriented, and eager to learn then this multifaceted role is ideal. You will be working with laboratory consumables and chemicals, as well as other products that keep our site with over 500 staff prepared for day to day needs . This role offers the perfect opportunity to learn about inventory management, procurement, logistics warehousing.
As a Warehouse/Inventory person you'll learn and be responsible for:
- Assisting in the procurement of laboratory consumables and chemicals, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Helping in maintaining and organizing our inventory of laboratory consumables and chemicals.
- Tracking and recording of inventory levels.
- Processing orders and preparing consumables for distribution on site.
- Packing chemicals and other sensitive materials safely and securely.
- Coordinating with the team to ensure timely delivery to clients.
- Participating in regular inventory audits to identify any discrepancies.
- Collaborating with team members to learn and improve
- Addressing client queries regarding their orders.
To Thrive in This Role:
You should have a basic understanding of inventory management, procurement, stores and logistics, or a strong willingness to learn. Familiarity with laboratory consumables and chemicals is advantageous. Good organisational skills, attention to detail, and basic proficiency in computer applications are expected. A customer-centric approach and the ability to multitask will also be beneficial. You will also need a good level of physical fitness.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Warehouse or Stores Operator, Despatch, Inventory management systems
