As a Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack Engineer) within our IDEXX Veterinary Software organization, you will play a key role in advancing our mission to build the first vertical SaaS platform for animal health. You'll contribute deep technical expertise, lead by example, and help shape the architecture, engineering practices, and delivery culture that enable our teams to solve complex challenges across clinical workflows, practice management, and client engagement solutions.

As a hands‑on technical leader, you will be helping engineering squads deliver scalable, cloud‑native software that improves veterinary practice operations and strengthens the connection between practices and pet owners.
Responsibilities\n- \n
- Lead by example through hands‑on software development, demonstrating engineering excellence and architectural best practices. \n
- Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud‑native applications using modern web technologies and distributed systems principles. \n
- Contribute across the full software development lifecycle, from solution design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support. \n
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineering Leaders, and fellow engineers to deliver fit‑for‑purpose solutions that meet customer and business needs. \n
- Champion quality, reliability, and maintainability through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous improvement practices. \n
- Help drive a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within your squad. \n
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices that improve system reliability and delivery efficiency. \n
- Support architectural evolution through thoughtful design decisions, technical coaching, and pragmatic modernization efforts. \n
- Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt, improve system performance, and strengthen the long‑term sustainability of our platforms. \n
- Contribute to the ongoing development of IDEXX engineering standards, principles, and practices across teams. \n
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance that helps elevate the effectiveness of the broader engineering organization. \n

- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Senior Full Stack Engineer, or similar technical leadership role. \n
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver scalable software solutions in a SaaS environment. \n
- Strong experience with modern web technologies such as React and TypeScript. \n
- Experience developing backend services using Go, TypeScript, Java, C#, or other object‑oriented languages. \n
- Experience with AWS or other cloud infrastructure platforms and modern cloud architecture principles. \n
- Strong understanding of software design, systems architecture, and distributed systems concepts. \n
- Experience building and consuming modern APIs and event‑driven services. \n
- Experience implementing automated testing practices, including unit testing and integration testing. \n
- Strong knowledge of object‑oriented design principles, modular architecture, and engineering best practices. \n
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and operational excellence practices. \n
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, or similar methodologies. \n
- Previous experience in a scaled SaaS environment is highly desirable. \n
- Experience mentoring engineers and supporting high‑performing technical teams is preferred. \n
