Smart Genie Limited is the central management company for a growing group of businesses operating across logistics, transport, retail, fuel, hospitality, cleaning, facility management and future acquisitions throughout New Zealand.

We provide financial, operational, human resource and compliance support services to multiple group companies. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Group Accountant / Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting functions of our business group.

Key Responsibilities

 Managing the overall financial operations of the business group.
\n  Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for director and
\n management.
\n  Developing, monitoring and reviewing budgets, forecasts and cash flow.
\n  Providing financial analysis and strategic advice to support business decisions.
\n  Ensuring compliance with New Zealand financial reporting standards, taxation
\n requirements and statutory obligations.
\n  Overseeing accounting systems, financial controls and internal reporting procedures.
\n  Managing group consolidations and intercompany transactions.
\n  Coordinating and working with accountants, auditors and financial institutions.
\n  Monitoring business performance and recommending improvements to profitability
\n and efficiency.
\n  Assisting director with financial planning, investment decisions and business growth
\n strategies.
\n  Leading and supporting finance staff across the business group.
\n  Identifying financial risks and implementing appropriate control measures.
\n  Contributing to the integration of newly acquired businesses into the group's
\n financial systems.

Minimum Requirements

 Must have either any Bachelor degree OR at least 2 years of relevant work
\n experience.
\n  Confidence in preparing budgets, financial forecasts and management reports.
\n  Excellent analytical, leadership and communication skills.
\n  Advanced proficiency with accounting software or Microsoft Excel.
\n  The ability to manage multiple entities within a group structure and meet reporting
\n deadlines.
