We are a full primary school nestled in a beautiful rural setting 5km east of Waiuku, on the border of Auckland and Waikato. We are looking for a visible, approachable and values-driven leader who will build strong relationships with students, staff, whaanau, mana whenua, the Board and our wider community. Our principal will be present in classrooms, around the school and at community events, creating a culture where people feel known, respected and included. The successful applicant will be an experienced educational leader with current knowledge of teaching, learning, curriculum and assessment. They will maintain high expectations for achievement, behaviour and wellbeing, while ensuring equitable outcomes for all learners, including those with diverse learning needs. They will grow staff capability, foster collaboration and lead change thoughtfully. We seek someone who will honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and build effective partnerships with whaanau, mana whenua, iwi and the wider community. Strong operational leadership is essential. The successful applicant will bring sound judgement, integrity and manage resources and legislative responsibilities effectively while working constructively alongside the Board. Above all, we seek a principal who will value our rural identity and family-like culture while bringing fresh thinking, warmth, and long-term commitment.
