Job Description
Overview You’ll be part of a compliance team proactively addressing a wide variety of stormwater related compliance issues across the Auckland region. Working closely with your team for guidance and support, you will spend considerable time out of the office being on the frontline to ensure compliance under the Resource Management Act, Building Act and Local Government Act. You will work with customers in communities most affected by recent flood and cyclone events to help mitigate the effects of such extreme events in the future. Responsibilities Educate, engage and guide customers on regulatory compliance. Assist customers in stormwater and environmental regulation matters. Review and address compliance issues across the Auckland region. Travel centrally within Auckland as required; the role is hybrid. Maintain a fixed-term contract until 17 May 2027. Qualifications You bring experience in compliance or regulatory fields, with a focus on stormwater or environmental regulations. Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential as you engage with stakeholders at all levels. A proactive problem‑solver, skilled at evaluating risk and handling complex compliance issues, will thrive in this role. In addition, a tertiary qualification and at least 2 years of regulatory compliance experience are required. Additional qualifications: Current full New Zealand driver’s licence. Proficiency in risk assessment and complex issue resolution. Benefits Competitive salary range of $78,311 to $92,130 plus KiwiSaver contribution.
