Weekend Heavy Metal Fabricator

We are currently seeking a skilled Heavy Metal Fabricator to join our Red Stag Timber Weekend Maintenance team on a permanent basis. Red Stag Timber is a leading timber processing company known for its innovation and commitment to quality. Responsibilities Work on sawmilling equipment, focusing on fabrication and heavy industrial fitting. Collaborate effectively within a dynamic team on both breakdown and scheduled work. Demonstrate analytical troubleshooting ability. Qualifications Hold a New Zealand recognised trade qualification in Fabrication L4 or equivalent. Have proven experience in heavy metal fabrication/industrial fitting. Proficiency in welding, gas cutting and arc air techniques. Have a demonstrated history of being a team player with a safety‑first approach to planning and carrying out non‑routine tasks. Hours of work are 40 hours Friday – Monday 6:00 am – 4:30 pm, on a weekend dayshift with occasional overtime available as required. Competitive remuneration package is on offer to the successful candidate with proven skills and knowledge, including a weekly tool allowance, weekend shift rates and an overtime rate of time and a half for all work over 40 hours per week.
