Maintenance Engineer About the role We are looking for a skilled and passionate maintenance technician to join our growing team in Christchurch. The role involves ensuring our parcel and letter sorting machinery is fit for purpose, delivering optimal operational efficiency, and working with cutting‑edge, automated parcel processing technology. Responsibilities Service and maintain parcel and letter sorting machinery to meet operational requirements. Diagnose faults and perform repairs promptly to minimise downtime. Conduct regular planned preventive maintenance and follow company maintenance schedules. Support continuous improvement initiatives for machinery performance and reliability. Qualifications & Experience New Zealand Electrical Registration or Electrical Service Technician Registration with papers A & B, or a Mechanical Engineering qualification. Minimum of two years experience as an electrical/m‑and‑mechanical technician. Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills; calm under pressure. Positive, flexible attitude and a team‑orientated approach to deliver what our customers care about. Control system or programming experience is desirable. Hours & Rotation Technicians work a 4‑week rotational roster that includes day, afternoon, night shifts and weekend days. Rosters are supplied in advance once shifts are finalised.
