Job Description

Overview Leverage your local connections and networking expertise in this rewarding, fast‑paced role. You will make a true difference to the lives of our most complex customers. This is a permanent role with five weeks of annual leave and insurance benefits. Responsibilities As an Advisor for Wellbeing Support in the North and West Auckland Region, you will be the trusted advisor providing practical leadership, expertise, and advice across our customer‑facing teams to enable them to better support customers and their whānau to live with dignity, stability and independence. You will develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including local agencies, support service providers, hapū, iwi, community representatives and the broader community, to navigate teams to the support providers and agencies customers need. You will work closely with other Advisors, Housing Support Managers and will meet customers and stakeholders regularly. Your charismatic and confident manner will ensure success in networking with new local agencies and presenting reporting to senior internal stakeholders. Qualifications Specialist knowledge, skill and behaviour working with customers who may have complex needs, coupled with a sound understanding of the social services environment and the complexity of pressures that can impact on our people. Excellent networking skills developed through maintaining collaborative relationships with external agencies, support service providers and the broader community. Cultural awareness and competency to interact with customers in an inclusive and respectful way aligned to their aspirations and preferences. Skill in coaching colleagues to build their understanding and skills to support customer wellbeing, including mentoring them to connect with the appropriate support services for emerging complex wellbeing needs. Strong empathetic skills to connect and relate to customers from all backgrounds and walks of life.
