We are looking for an energetic and passionate Chef to join our Medirest team at Southern Cross Hospital Christchurch on a full‑time, permanent basis. Roster: Weekdays – Monday to Friday, 11:30 – 20:00 Responsibilities Ensuring every dish served meets our high standards of taste, presentation and nutrition Maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organised kitchen Providing friendly, helpful and professional service to patients, clients and colleagues Hardworking, professionally presented and have a friendly, positive, “can‑do” attitude Bringing at least 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen, with strong skills in high‑quality food production and baking Worked with bulk cooking and understand the requirements of a hospital or healthcare environment Ideally holding Food Safety Certificates (Unit Standards 167 & 168) Working confidently and independently while maintaining high standards Having a genuine passion for great food, quality, and exceptional service Benefits Competitive remuneration (top of market hourly rate!)
