Secondary English Teacher

Certificated teacher, Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher – English Kaikohe Christian School is seeking an outstanding, passionate, and culturally responsive educator to join our highly collaborative teaching environment as an English teacher. We seek an experienced teacher who is committed to delivering high‑quality teaching and learning, motivating students to aspire to excellence, able to connect with whanau, and to contribute positively to the special character and wider life of our school. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong curriculum knowledge and effective pedagogical practice, along with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve excellent outcomes for all learners. The ability to teach English to Level 3 is essential. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the ability to thrive in challenging situations. They must be an enthusiastic and effective classroom practitioner, have sound curriculum expertise in English, demonstrate a commitment to culturally responsive teaching practice, build positive and respectful relationships with students, staff, and whanau, and be willing to contribute fully to the co‑curricular life of the school. A willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school shall be a condition of appointment.
