About the Role We're looking for a Desktop Engineer to join our Wellington-based team and play a key role in supporting and improving the technology services used across MAS. This is a permanent full time position. Responsibilities Providing expert support and escalation assistance for technology issues. Diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, endpoint and network problems. Supporting and administering Microsoft 365 technologies. Managing user access and maintaining system security. Deploying applications, updates and patches across endpoint devices. Supporting device lifecycle management and technology standards. Maintaining accurate system, asset and process documentation. Working with vendors and technology partners to deliver quality outcomes. Contributing to technology projects and service improvements. Identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and user experience. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll be a customer-focused technology professional who enjoys solving problems and building strong relationships. Required Skills 4+ years' experience supporting IT systems in an enterprise environment. Experience supporting endpoint devices and network hardware. Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration. Experience with Intune application deployment and device management. Knowledge of Entra ID / Active Directory. Experience working in a change-controlled environment. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive, self-managing approach. A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to service excellence. Preferred Skills Relevant Microsoft certifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
