Job Description
Overview Lead NZTA's infrastructure procurement function across one of New Zealand's most significant infrastructure investment programmes. Leadership role based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. About you We're looking for a senior procurement leader who brings: Extensive experience of current procurement best practice in New Zealand and internationally, with experience applying best practice procurement approaches. Proven infrastructure sector experience and strong understanding of the infrastructure planning, procurement and delivery lifecycle. Proven procurement leadership experience in commercially complex environments, preferably with a background in transport infrastructure. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify, conceptualise and navigate strategic commercial opportunities. Deep understanding of government procurement and assurance requirements, including financial processes, budget and contract management. Excellent communication, relationship management and influencing skills across internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated willingness to understand and engage with Te Ao Māori, support NZTA's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and contribute to an inclusive workplace where diverse perspectives strengthen decision‑making. About us The Infrastructure Development & Delivery division of NZTA is responsible for developing and delivering New Zealand's land transport capital programme.
